Wow!!! MidCity has come a long way. For those of you who don’t know us we started at the very bottom of the barrel. I can remember 3 years ago when all we had was a keyboard and a cheap pair of headphones. Our friends used to come through and laugh at the funny songs we made. They supported but didn’t really believe. They couldn’t see the vision of MidCity. After we decided to get on the grind and hustle up some doe and equipment, a sense of dedication soon followed. We spent days on end coming up with new ideas and funky instrumentals. Our confidence began to fill our L.A new era caps. We met with another production group who had already gotten placements with a few platinum artists (like Ne-yo, Danity Kane, Joe) so they were already established in the game. They had already accomplished one of our goals/dreams. We walked into Sterotypes home studio with our heads and shoulders held high. We talked, played our music for them, then listened to what they had to say. They told us that they saw the vision we saw……..but that we just weren’t ready yet. We needed to mix our music. They also let us know that you only have one opportunity for someone to like your music and if they don’t like it the first time then you might not get another chance. With that being said it is imperative to have the perfect mix. The event on the video above was the intro to a very vermanakwis (ver*mana*kwis–adj- your mom rides the polish sausage) story that has just begun. MidCity worked with a big time engineering company to have two of their songs taken through the final process of having the perfect mix. We have came a long way, way too far to quit. We just want to let everyone know if you have dreams or goals you can achieve them. MiDCiTY WILL “MAKE YOU A BELIEVER”

It’s so crazy that Midcity is finally at this point. This is sort of a historic type moment. Everyone remembers their first time with everything. I know I do…. What a great song to be the first. It is a perfect example of the dream we all have. Who doesn’t have dreams? We should all be dreamin. Dreamin big at that. 2009 is gonna be huge! Im out.
P.S. Be on the lookout for non qualified phone-boning. It’s a bad habbit that to many brothas be falling victim to. Lol……
